Regional MLS IDX Issues
Several IDX Website vendors were found to be offering Regional MLS listing data in IDX products without proper authorization from RMLS.
The data was being obtained by a third party and some of these vendors were not following the RMLS IDX policies (see our
Rules and Regulations). RMLS has discontinued that datafeed and will not allow unauthorized usage
of listing information.
We are working to finalize Data Licensing Agreements with some of these organizations. Having an agreement in place ensures RMLS's ability to monitor usage and compliance with our
Rules and Regulations. If you have been affected and would like to have your web company receive listing data from RMLS please have your
vendor email
. We are receiving numerous calls from agents whose web companies have suggested they contact us directly. This adds a step in the process of resolving the issue.
